Afternoon Snack Thursday, Sep 13 2007

I feel a little badly about the not-so-great pictures posted for “THREE” so I thought I’d redeem myself with a few cute shots of yesterday’s afternoon snack-turned-game-session.

Grapes are just about her favorite food lately (that and “turk-turk” AKA deli turkey). but just a few grapes didn’t cut it…she needed the whole big bowl!

Mommy does “this little pig went to market” on her tiny toes, but then she does the tickling herself. Makes us both laugh!

Then we played “name that body part.” This is Nadia showing us her cheeks.

Oh yeah, we actually did eat a few grapes, too.

Thursday’s Theme – THREE Thursday, Sep 13 2007

Thursday’s Theme over at Picture This is “three.” As of last night I still didn’t have anything for it…strange that I always find something for the challenging themes, but the easy ones like this leave me uninspired. But I want to participate, so I decided that I’d get up at THREE a.m. to take a few pictures of the sleeping girl.

My internal clock is pretty accurate, and it woke me up at 2:56. That was good enough for me; I was tired and not about to keep me eyes open any longer than necessary, so I stumbled back to Nadia’s bedroom. There she lay in the middle of the crib, blanket kicked off, TedBear snuggled under one arm and Cup under the other. Ah, how she loves TedBear and Cup!

So I clicked off about a dozen pictures, watched my angel sleep for a few moments, and stumbled back to bed. This morning I went to download pictures and was horrified to discover just how awful they are. Evidently I don’t take very good pictures half-asleep at 3 in the morning! I had planned to post 3 pics here (ya know, for the theme), but these were the only two even remotely salvageable. LOL!

P.S. I think something clicked for Nadia last night and we’re really on the road to potty training – she did it again this morning!

Milestone Thursday, Sep 13 2007

We just had an exciting first…Nadia pottied in the potty chair!!!

Wouldn’t ya know it, she and I visit the bathroom together multiple times every day with no results. And then tonight Daddy brigs her for the very first time ever, and she does it. He didn’t even know it was a first, just came out of the bathroom and said “okay, she did it” like it was no big deal. LOL! So of course we did the happy dance for her!

My girl is growing up!
